It is one weekend out of the year that the City of Bloomfield is definitely full of hot air. The annual San Juan River Balloon Rally, one of the most beautiful and unique events in our community, takes place in June each year. Bloomfield hosts the 3-day event that brings around 30 balloons to Bloomfield. The pilots, most of whom are regular participants in the rally, enjoy the community spirit the Bloomfield Rally provides and almost all of them say they are treated better at this rally than any other.
